!!Friends Or Acquaintances!!

You meet lot of people in college, either it's in class or just on campus, friend's friends, etc... But what title to you give them? You sometimes spend more time with these people then your good friends, you become close, hangout outside of school a lot but what happens after semester is over?

End of a semester always makes me sad. Many people I've met in college touched my life one way or another and as much as I would love to still be close with them it's impossible, they have their own lives going on that's not connected to college friends or they just live far away and campus was only place for us to hangout at. So now I don't know how close I should get with people I meet in college, I don't want to miss out on a good friend or get hurt by loosing one.

Yes, I might be the only person who thinks about stuff like this, but if you've ever been in the same situation pls share.

!!TEACHERS!!

Apparently there is no way you can go through college without interacting with a teacher. Either it's an online class or you actually attend the class you still have to interact with more than one teacher and sometimes it could get messy and complicated.

I've met a lot of different teachers during my time in college and have had a different experiences in every class I've attended.

First, everybody has that Cool Guy teacher, teacher who tries to be friends with everybody in class, breaks some small rules so everybody actually counts him as cool and spends half the time of the period talking about his and student's life experiences. You don't learn anything in that class and your grade is based on your coolness.

Second, you definitely know The Serious Guy! He never smiles, Ever. Uses the whole time of the period for the lecture, gives too much homework and never accepts late assignments. He never gives an A to anybody because he doesn't believes in it. He marks you absent if you are late by 15 minutes or more and doesn't let you know.

Third, Miss I Have Favorites. She seems nice at first, like a harmless housewife who's class should be a peace of cake. But after the first couple of classes you notice The Favorites (if you are in the favorites group then yes the class is going to be a peace of cake but if you didn't make that list RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!) Favorites get all the attention. Their opinion is always right, their papers are always perfect and they can get away with doing anything during class. They always get As for the class. People who didn't make that list are always wrong, always in trouble, get bad grades for great papers and are never asked to talk. They NEVER get As.

And finally The Actually Cool Smart Guy. This is a teacher most of us would love to have. He is cool and laid back so you don't have to be in a rush to get all your stuff done on time, as long as you get it done he will give you full credit for it. But the best thing about him is that he is smart also. He teaches you a lot and tries to make class fun at the same time, you don't get bored or overwhelmed. He will have an answer to any question you might have and he will not mind changing the subject for something unrelated but interesting that you would like to discuss.

Well these are the four major types in my opinion. You are tired of my opinions? Then make a comment and lets hear what you have to say ;)

!The Benches!

In my school we have this spot with benches that is filled with smokers any time of the day. Since there is a no smoking policy almost everywhere on the campus this is a nice area for smokers to gather, hangout and smoke cigarets. Share YOUR thoughts about an area like this. Please note if you are a smoker or not in your comment.
